Citizen is a project at the intersection of illustration, visual storytelling, world-building and comics. Hand-drawn, postcard-sized illustrations depict the residents of a sprawling, fantastical metropolis simply called ‘The City’. My goal is to produce a booklet each year with a selection of these portraits, where each is accompanied by a short story in which the character talks about their life in this strange place.
